"America is not a one size fits all nation, and the unpopularity of the Affordable Care Act demonstrates that Americans do not want their personal health care choices dictated by the federal government."

A health care system that provides high quality and affordable care is a national priority. The Affordable Care Act of 2010 fails to achieve these goals, but it does raise taxes on both individuals and businesses while expanding the role of government.

To create a lower cost and more efficient health care system, I will fight to:
Replace the Affordable Care Act with a comprehensive set of policies that preserves important aspects like pre-existing conditions while providing a fiscally, sustainable solution with greater choice and services to all people

Ensure that seniors receive the care they need from a system that can be sustained over time

Maximize the opportunity for market-based solutions to improve care with lower cost
